About Us

Hlelolwethu Organisation is a non-profit organization with a youth focus, established in 2019. Since its inception, the organization has been committed to improving the lives of young people in Mbombela through Human Rights and Advocacy programs, as well as Life Skills initiatives. Hlelolwethu is currently executing programs aligned with Goal 1 of the national strategic plan.

Rooted in the vibrant tapestry of South African culture and heritage, Hlelolwethu was founded on the principles of ubuntu – the belief in humanity, compassion, and interconnectedness. We draw inspiration from the resilience and spirit of our nation, harnessing it to drive positive change and foster inclusive development.

To reduce inequalities and barriers that prevent people from accessing essential services to reduce HIV, TB and STIs.

Our Mission

Our mission at Hlelolwethu is to enhance and empower the lives of young people through comprehensive life skills initiatives. We are dedicated advocates for Human Rights, providing essential HIV/AIDS-related services.

We aspire to create a world that actively engages and empowers young individuals by enhancing their capacities, equipping them with the necessary skills for success in the modern world.

Through mentoring programs focused on HIV, TB, STIs, and Human Rights, conducted within sport, arts, and cultural platforms, as well as youth development initiatives, we aim to reach and engage the youth effectively.

Moreover, we are committed to creating lasting solutions to poverty and social injustice by leveraging virtual engagement platforms, ensuring convenient access to information, and establishing supportive networks.
